Ailene Kimbrough was my mother-in-law. She fixed me my first alcoholic eggnog the first Christmas I spent with the family. She also imparted some cooking tips. She was quite the hostess and a bit of a tornado in the kitchen!
After many years of no contact we were unexpectedly reunited at a Christmas Eve service at the Mt Comfort church 6 or 7 years ago. What a blessed reunion! I was instantly part of the family again! What a blessing it has been to be a part of her life again these last several years, celebrating more Christmases together, memories, stories, conversations and laughter. What a precious gift our renewed friendship has been. I will miss her wit and wisdom and her spunky personality.
Condolences to Jarvis and William and all her friends and family.
