I knew Carolyn through Q.U.I.L.T. She was so creative and full of life. She sang beautifully at a concert years ago that I attended. She was truly talented in so many ways. My heartfelt sympathies go out to her family and friends.
I am so deeply sorry for your loss, Lisa. It is difficult to lose a mother especially when that mother is as dear and loving as Carolyn was and a mother who is also your good friend and even, in this case, your musical colleague! I know her life was about care, concern, love and music. She touched many lives and helped so many through her counseling work and teaching. I loved hearing her laugh (always "well supported"!) and the memories I have if when she and I first met during a production of "Suor Angelica" at the UofA in the early 80s. She was a wonderful singer and actress and great fun to perform with! Good memories of a fabulous person who will be sorely missed. My love to you and to Doug.
A lovely lady with a beautiful voice! So talented. Blessings to family andfriends.
Your mom and I always shared a special bond when we were sisters in-law. She made me laugh so hard at times....wow. My love and prayers are with all of you. Please know I loved her dearly. Your Aunt Susan from Cedar Hill, TX

Lisa, I am so sincerely sorry for your loss....Your mom was very special. I will forever remember her ability to bring us, her Q.U.I.L.T. group, to complete silence with her "opera notes"! Remember, she will always be just a whisper away.
A beautiful soul, filled with talent and a truly caring person. Will keep family in my prayers.
Dear Lisa, Through music we have become friends and we share your sorrow, as we have shared past joys. Your Mother has joined the Heavenly Choir and her legacy will live on in our hearts. We have made a contribution to St. Paul's in her name to honor her musical gift and to express our love for you. Bless ya ;) ...Becky, Cathy, Deb, Karen, Kathy, Kelly, Lesley, Pam E., Sharon.
What a beautiful story and tribute. I am saddened that I never knew her, but more deeply saddened by your loss. Lisa, it sounds as though our moms will make beautiful music together to entertain everyone while they wait for the rest of us. Hugs and blessings to your entire family.
