JoAnn, Leanne, and Dee Dee, I remember living next door, Twin Lakes, the ice rink in the backyard one snowy foggy night. The light bar and movie camera during special events. An Air Force brat. Later in life, golfing, with Don and JoAnn and tournament time in Fayetteville. All such wonderful memories keep flashing through my head, what a full, rich, and wonderful life you had Don. Don was a member of the Wednesday crew of Habitat for Humanity where we enjoyed working with friends and learning from our leader, Robert Melton. He was our specialist for cutting angles and helping where ever needed. He loved talking about all things Razorbacks. After the "crew" retired we enjoyed his company at occasional luncheons. Don--a kind friend and gentleman.

I met Don & JoAnn right after they both moved into the Grand Village at Clear Creek. They both are wonderful people. I would catch Don headed to breakfast without his oxygen and walk him home to get it most times. He would tell me stories of when he use to fly and when him and JoAnn traveled . When my brother passed away last year of cancer he ask me for a memorial of my brother I gave him one and he prayed over it and ask me if he could keep it so I let him have one . Later I ask him why? His words have always stayed with me he said so when I get to Heaven and I find him I can tell him your sister took care of me and it met a lot and she sends her love. This made me cry when he told me this. Don was a wonderful , sweet , kind man and he loved JoAnn and his family a lot. I for one will miss seeing him around the Grand.
Don was a great friend. Played golf and poker with him while we lived in Fayetteville for 10 years. Don shared a lot of his memories of flying with me. He had amazing life and will be missed . But now he’s home with the Heavenly Father.
