Dear Prof Shadden,my very deepest sympathies to you. I will wait to hear your husband, Harry perform in Paradise! I never realized he was such an artist and performer until I read the story about the things he has done with his life- a wonderful contribution. An amazing life continued soon I hope.

It was the pre graduation dinner for the class of MS Communication Disorders,May 2010. Friends, family and faculty were all busy mingling. Someone suddenly gently tapped on my shoulder. I turned around to see man with keen, smiling eyes. I had never seen him before but he seemed to know me. He reached out, held my hand and spoke. He said "I'm not that great with my words any more. I have heard a lot about you. I hope you are enjoying this country. Remember you have a lot to do when you get back home." He squeezed my hand and finally said "Thank you for being in touch with Barbara and I hope you will continue to be with her". This was the first and last meeting - a brief encounter with valuable advice from a unique person that I will always keep and treasure. Dr. Shadden my deepest sympathies and I will always be there for you.
