James Barton “Bart” Hudspeth, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville from a complication caused by a heart attack. He was born on January 27, 1949, in Harrison, Arkans Read Obituary
Vaya con Dios, Bart. And give Tommy a hug for me when you see him.
Growing up, the Hudspeths weren't just family friends, they were our extended family, and Bart was like my second Dad. Summers at the lake house, camping and fishing in Wyoming ("Just over the next knoll!"), Thanksgivings, trips to New Orleans,...These are memories I will forever cherish. His kindness, generous heart, fantastic sense of humor, and knowledgeable guidance will be with me always. My kids will remember him as Santa, but I will remember him for much, much more. He really was the best of us, and I will miss him dearly.
To Kathi, Chad, Clay, Becca, and all the family, I am so very sorry for your loss and your grief. Love to you all, always.

Dearest Hudspeth family. Growing up down the street from you allowed me to become a part of your incredible family. I will always be grateful for all you did for me and the memories produced during that time. The world lost a great person but heaven got one of its best souls back. RIP Boy Scout Bart. You definitely left your mark on the world.
Dear, Kathi, I was connected to Bart via your experiences with him and a shared wheelchair. I feel like I knew him personally, and his obituary revealed even more about his life and loves. So, my admiration for Bart and for you has grown. Your dedication and support enabled him to become a man beloved by so many friends, relatives, students, Scouts, and strangers. May you find peace knowing he was so greatly cherished by so many.

Hudspeth family,
Please accept my sorrow in your loss. We've not been in touch for a very long time. I remember with fondness, a neighbor family with three blond kiddos full of life, who felt comfortable, when they were allowed to cross the street, to come for help with a project in our woodshop. With Bart's permission to cross the line on the driveway, one, then two and usually all three were in the yard for a "visit". They always knew that they were welcome.
Family, you can be thankful for the heritage your dad and mom provided in your growing up.
