Barbara Nolan
I have fond memories of Aunt Kathryn. She was always there in the family to keep things together. We used to get together some summers in Wisconsin where a lake was nearby. It was always fun to see the Widder family. there was always something going on that was fun. The memory that sticks out most in my mind is getting ready for a grocery trip to get food for a spaghetti dinner that night. My mother and Kathryn were putting together a list. My mom thought that one box of spaghetti would be enough for everyone but Kathryn put things straight and said that we needed a lot more than that. My mother was not used to feeding a whole houseful of boys! I think it was an education for everyone. We all had quite a chuckle over it.
Kathryn will be missed but she is survived by a fun family of adventuresome boys who I am sure have her take-charge attitude.
My sympathies to the Widder family.
Barbara Benn Nolan, Niece to Kathryn Widder
