Aunt Mary you will be missed. I remember the time when as a teenager I was using your cabin with my friends and you came by. You just set down and talked for a couple of hours and made us laugh.
I will always remember you more for Christmas because I always had to get you Georgia pecans. I was glad to do something for you since you always thought of us at all the Greenlee gatherings. We were all you children and grandchildren in your eyes and ours.
Aunt Mary you were an orginal. I enjoyed spending the last few weeks with you. You always lived your life to the fullest and you will be missed.
I was so glad God allowed me to be with her in her final days. What a blessing it was to be with so many of my cousins during this time. Even though we don't see each other enough it seems we just take up where we left off. We all remembered so many things about Aunt Mary. She was a character, she loved to laugh and have a good time. Even though she had no children of her own, we were all her children and she spoiled us all. We could do just about anything when we went to Aunt Mary's house. My fondest memories is fishing with Aunt Mary and getting the cokes she always had in her refigerator for us. I will always remember how much she loved birds and plants. She loved the outdoors. Aunt Mary we will miss you deeply, but I know that you and my dad and the other brothers are having a good time now. Love you.
I would just like to say that Aunt Mary was a very special person to me, ALL MY LIFE: She always showed her love and was always there for me and my Family. I no that God is waiting on her her and has a very special place for her,She will always be loved by me, And very much missed by ALL. May she REST IN PEACE ! LOVE Garland and his Family.
Aunt Mary was one of a kind and full of life for many years. Me and all of my cousins have shared fun times and special memories of her that will never be forgotten.
The one time I can remember is all of us piling up in the back of Poppy's truck and going to the creek to swim. Aunt Mary was right in among us all. Poppy would speed up the truck at the big dip in the road and about throw us all out and we would just laugh and hang on. When we all got to the creek we just jumped in with no fear at all and all of a sudden there were snakes swimming everywhere and "Oh My Goodness" Aunt Mary said, "Oh don't worry kid's they won't hurt you, they are more afraid of you than you are them" Well, needless to say, with Aunt Mary we felt safe where ever we were, but, to this day I can't believe we swam with the snakes. I will cherish those times forever........
I will cherish the memories I have of her! One I have of her -she was making a cake at Poppy and Granny's house and she put salt in it instead of sugar, when she gave me the bowl to lick clean I said " Aunt Mary this taste yucky" she tasted it and said well $#!* I used salt instead of sugar!! I laughed until I cried!!! She will be missed!!
Will always cherish the memories of time spent with Aunt Mary and Uncle Frankie at their house with 6 oz. cokes and making homemade peanut brittle
Playing dress up with Evelyn with Aunt Mary Big necklace, clip on earrings and high heel shoes
and being terrified of Scorchy the Cat
All my thoughts are there with all of you
Love
