I was Chief of Surgery at Cannon AFB in Clovis, NM from 1986-90… During that time Wavey was the Director of Quality Assurance at the base hospital… During that time we became allies and friends in the battles for the best of patient care… She taught me all she knew about the complicated field of medical QA, and after leaving the Air Force I often thought back to her lessons to help me navigate the world of civilian medicine… I will always remember her quiet voice, her poise and her self confidence, and I am honored to have had her as a dear friend… Rest well, Wavey… You are greatly missed…
