Rita Rae (Cunningham) Goss, of West Fork, died Monday August, 24th at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. Rita had spent the last 9 months in assisted living after being severely injured in a fall at her farm. She was born J Read Obituary

Rita's family...I went to Chanute High School with Rita Rae (as she was called then; double-dated a time or two with her (and Harvey - as he was called then.) Also in a junior college play with her. She was a fun person then...and from the sounds of Guest Book entries, remained that way. Sorry to learn of her death.
Mom,I miss you every minute. I am selfish because I wish you were here fishing with me. Thank you for the extra nine months you gave to me. I saw and loved a different side of you during that time together, but I will remember you as you were trying to get the leaves out of my hair, taking me shopping, fishing long after dark with me, and me looking up to you; the strongest person I'll ever know. Rita helped me through my first deposition. She was always a sweetheart. Just a pleasure to be around. Rest in love, Rita.

Rita was the court reporter for my first jury trial and many more after that. She very much helped a young prosecutor still wet behind the ears. She was a funny and intelligent woman whom I dearly enjoyed talking with as we waited for many a jury to return with a verdict. Rest in Peace sweet lady.
When I was a young lawyer I always could count on Rita to disclose Judge Cummings disposition --which was important.She was a true friend to most of the attorneys in this area and will be greatly missed. What a smile she had!.
