My absolute favorite memory of Grandma was right after we had her great grandson Ethan. We were living in Fayetteville as well and it was the first and only time I couldn’t ease his crying and it was getting late, like 9 I called for ideas. Instead of just helping over the phone she insisted on coming over and immediately drove over even though she had trouble driving at night at that time. She took Ethan, laid his head on her chest, ear down, covering his other ear with her other hand and patting his back. He had stopped crying in under a minute and he was good then on. I loved that she was there for me to such a degree. She was always. I hope I returned even just a piece of that back to her.
