My mother was the consummate Southern lady. Always poised and proper. She taught my sister and I to be the same from a very young age. She taught us to appreciate nice things. But most of all she taught us to love the Lord. This is her legacy.
My mother had incredible faith in Jesus. In her last years, she walked with the Lord each step of the way and blessed those she met with her cheerful spirit. She always told us she learned to have this incredible faith from her Grandmother, my Great-Grandmother. I’ve been thinking about what a gift it is to have this heritage. To be part of a line of women who love the Lord, who pray, who walk in obedience and faith.
I pray we continue to shine, as they did, the light of Christ in this world.
Mom, your faith lives on. Until we meet again.
