Even though I only knew Sondra for two months, she meant the world to me. She filled a void in my life and I felt real joy that I had not known for many years. We shared many memories of our families and were planning to make many memories of our own when she was suddenly taken from us. I will carry those precious moments we shared for the rest of my life. There was time when my son and daughter-in-law invited Sondra to join us for dinner. We joked that it was "Meet The Kids" instead of "Meet the Parents". In that hour and a half, my family knew that she was the one for me. The other very special memory was Valentine's dinner. I now have conflicting emotions. I feel robbed that we were not able to fulfil the plans we had for the future while also feeling very blessed for having known her and shared those special moments.
