Our thoughts are with you during this time.
I first came across Bill Burton when I researched the ASTC (now UCA) Bears athletics history in the early 1970s. He played for the Bears in the Warren Woodson glory days in the 1930s. I didn't meet Bill -- and Mary -- until they moved to Conway in the 1980s. Wonderful, sweet, gentle man. I regret his passing but give thanks God gave him a long and productive live. My prayers and sympathy to Mary and the family.
I knew Bill when I worked at the Houston Chronicle. He was a gentlemen at all times and a very dedicated worker.
My thoughts and prayers go to his wife, Mary, and to their son and family.
Mary I want to say im sorry and you are in my thoughts and prayers..
Remembering a very sweet man that I got to know from the Asbury class at Central Methodist. He and his pretty wife Mary were always so welcoming as I joined them on the same row. His remembering my late husband from UT brought us closer and I have fond memories of his sweet smile. He also seemed please to see me while I visited him at North Hills while my Mother was there last year.
I extend to Mary and their family my deepest sympathy and they will be in my prayers.
