Elaine, Jennifer and Family…My heartfelt condolences. It saddens me to know a great man is no longer with us. I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Councille and being a nurse at the Northwest Arkansas Clinic for Women in the early 90's. I moved to Texas is 1994, but the few times I went back to Arkansas to visit, I made it a point to go by the clinic to say hello to him, the other doctors, and staff.I only have great memories of working with Dr. Councille. Once while exploring a cave, I got bitten by a bat, so Dr. Councille made fun of me and would hum the Batman theme song every time he saw me. So, I decided to play a joke on him when he got to work one day.Just before he arrived at the clinic, I laid down in one of the exam rooms and had Bea, his nurse, tell him that I wasn't feeling well, due to the bat bite. So right before he entered the exam room to check me, I placed an Alka Seltzer tablet in my mouth so it would start foaming. When he opened the door, I grabbed my throat, while allowing the "foam" to spill out of my mouth as if I had rabies. Dr Councille's eyes opened up so big, and the expression on his face was pure terror, that I couldn't continue pretending and I started laughing! After recovering from his shock he also began laughing. He was such a good sport!! Maru
