The world has lost an incredibly gifted, talented, accomplished, determined, humorous, and brilliant but humble individual, who continued to produce and enjoy life for 94 years despite all obstacles during the last few years of his life. His contributions to the U of A, AR, and the universe are immeasurable. I am looking forward to reading his many books. He has left an incredible legacy. A life well lived. To one of the greatest men of the "greatest generation". My thoughts and prayers are with his dear family.

My condolences for the loss of Dr. Brown to his family. As a graduate in Animal Sciences, I always found Dr. Brown to have a great sense of humor. As one of a few students in his graduate statistics class in the spring of 1976, we posed the question to him concerning the final exam. We asked him if we should concentrate on studying for the final exam or go play golf the day before the test. His response was classic. As he rolled his cigar around in his mouth he said, If you haven't been hauling a little hay every day, you won't get it all hauled tonight! So, golf won out.
