John 'Bill' William 'Bill' Conrow

Dear Julie and Family. Mr. Conrow was our Math teacher and coach at Olathe Jr. High in the early 60's. We all adored he and Mr. Harold Whitenack. It seems as thought that photo may have been from the Olathe Jr. High yearbook. He was a great teacher and wonderful coach.. All the guys were glad to have him as their coach. Also when they arrived every jr. high girl had crushes on him. He was very handsome, but first of all very nice and a great teacher.

My Mother worked with Julie at Patrons Insurance for a time when they were in Olathe. My Mom always liked you Julie. Her name was Myrle Mann Phelps

Also Mom and I lived next door to Mr. Conrow, Julie, and their baby for awhile. The street was Oak, in Olathe, and we were in a duplex nextdoor to the Conrow family. Seems like you guys lived in a ranch house. I know your comfort in having friends and family to reminisce and help you through. God Be with you Patti Mann Schuman

I remember the first day I met Mr. Conrow. My eighth grade honors geometry teacher had a baby and went on extended leave. Mr. Conrow became my teacher. If you ask me today I can only remember 3 teachers names from when I went to Woodland and one of them happens to be Mr. Conrow. I don't even remember the teacher that he replaced. He made that school, that class, that year such a joy. I felt like we formed a bond and over the past 10 years, any time I had seen him whether it be at the grocery store or a Hog game, we had a pleasant conversation. Mr. Conrow will always have a special place in my heart and will be very missed.

Juliann and Family: I always enjoyed visiting with Bill. He was such a K-State fan and one of our sons played there for 4 years so we had plenty to talk about. The funeral service was very impressive. I especially enjoyed his letter-that was quite impressive. I think the large number of people who were in attendance is a tribute to him. I know that we will all miss him but I cherish the memories of our talks and of knowing him Paul Noland

My thoughts and prayers to your family. Mr. Conrow was the best teacher I ever had. My two older sisters also had Mr. Conrow and we were shocked to hear of his passing. He was someone you would see at the softball fields or the grocery store and after all these years would still give you a nod and ask how you were. He was a brilliant and caring man. There will never be another teacher or human as skilled and thoughtful as he was.
