Johnnie Bob was my aunt, married to my mother's brother Charles. Although we did not live in the same town as her family we did get together on holidays when I was a child, when they came to Benton (and later Conway where my parents lived). I sometimes visited them at their home in Fort Smith. I always thought she was a gracious and glamorous woman. I have been honored to be her niece and loved to visit with her when I could. She helped me with writing our family history and has told me some funny and very interesting stories about herself in her younger years and later, my grandparents, parents and other aunts and uncles. I will miss her!
I worked with Johnnie from the time she was employed at Sparks until I retired in 1998. Johnnie was hired to help me in Nursing Administration but Miss Black overruled that plan so she worked across the hall from me. She later became the go to person for all mail being mailed out of Sparks and all mail coming in. She was a fantastic "mail room person". She even helped me mail a special broom to my daughter when she was in South Carolina. Couldn't ask for a better friend. Will always remember her and the many ways she was a friend to me. She was a special person here on earth as I'm sure she is in Heaven now.
