A sympathy card has been sent to the family of Nicholas Roy Gyles.
I am saddened at the passing of my uncle Roy. I have pleasant memories of him at Wallens in Jamaica. A wonderful man, quiet spoken and sincere, dedicated to family and profession. My condolences to his immediate family and all colleagues and friends. May he rest in peace.
Dearest Judy
Your remembrances of your dad were so poignant. He was truly a gentle southern soul. Although we moved here after you were grown, it was good to hear the "dad" side of him reading the Bible kicking soccer balls and on the golf course. It was a joy to know both your dad and mom. They will be missed.
God's peace.
Judy, We loved your daddy and we know that he loved us because he told us so all the time. He was a wonderful person and a real gentleman. He was a special professor whose many students kept in touch with him throughout the years. We will miss him always and will carry our memories of him in our hearts. May the love so many of us have for him give you solace in your time of sorrow. Mary and Bill
Dear Judy and family,
I have many fond memories of Roy, as well as Nick. I was Nick's Sunday School leader when he was in Jr High and High School.
I remember having Roy give a short talk on integrity at Rotary Club years ago, and what he said was profound. What a legacy he left. My live has been enriched by knowing both these men.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Dr.Judy and Family: I have known Roy since he came to the University. We worked together on many issues and I have always held him in highest esteem both professionally and personally. You should be proud of your father for his many achievements. I am sorry that we are going to go to Eunice's family reunion and not be present for the service. I talked with you at your Mother's visitation. You folks have had a very difficult 2 years. The last time I saw Roy was about 2 months ago when he and his care giver came to our Thursday PM retired Animal Science group. He brought some cookies for us and we had a nice visit. If we can be of assisitance to you please contact me. You are in our prayers. Paul Noland
Deeply sorry for the loss of this wonderful man. Greatly honored with the privilege to take care of him and to get to know him. I will always treasure the time that I got to spend with him.
Dear Judy,
We were long time neighbors on Crest Drive of your parents when you were born and Nick was a toddler. We are so saddened to hear of your loss and the passing of a truly great man. Your parents were such wonderful examples for us as devoted parents aand genuinely good people. I know that all is now well with your Dad and that he is in the best place possible. We send our condolences and prayers during your time of grieving.

Dear Judy & Family,
I am so saddened to hear of Roy's passing.i sat with him and your mother from time to time and really felt the love and peacefulness they had throughout their home and amongst each other. I hadn't seen him since the week before he went to stay in New Orleans as i myself lost my mother in April. He was so looking forward to that visit.I know this is a sad time for those who loved and cared for him but the joy is in knowing he is now with mom & Nick.God Bless you & Thank you for letting me be a part of your family's life
