Those who knew Allen knew he was caring, loving and would do anything for anyone. Allen was my supervisor for a few years and I truly learned a lot from him, we shared many laughs and talks. I think of him when I visit restaurants we went to together. Only you know Allen..hope you RIP. Condolences to the family. Yani

My heart goes out to Aileen, Jarvis, William, other family members and Allen's friends. Allen helped form happy, childhood memories -- going all the way back, I believe, to kindergarten at the Peabody Training School -- of visits to the Kimbrough home with my mother, Trudy, and also of playing in the woods near our family's home with both Allen and Jarvis. Those were sweet times, the memories of which I shall always cherish. Rest in Peace, Allen. Hugs.
Allen cared for all people but especially those looked down on by society. He held a special place in our community and was very giving with his time and talents. Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
I was so sorry to hear of Allen's death. I spoke with him this summer before he went to Alabama. He gave himself totally to his profession and to his friends. He and I were colleagues in the Miami Valley Counseling Association. He was an asset to his profession and an admirable, genuine human being. My deepest sympathy to his family.
I am so sorry to hear about Allen. He will be missed my many..I had the pleasure of working with him for some years, he always had a positive outlook at everything. I pray that his light shines on. He will be singing in God's choir now. I will miss my friend.
I worked with Allen, while he was at Miami Valley Hospital and I was at the ADAMHS Board. He was a caring kind individual who always strove to help others. He was so dependable if he said he was going to do something and get back to me, I could bank on it. I also loved our talks about his travels and remember how much he enjoyed his trip to Paris, France. He will be missed by many in the mental health and addictions field in Dayton, Ohio and the Miami Valley. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they mourn the loss of a good and gentle man.
