Bobby Lee Odom, 81 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 in Fayetteville. He was born April 14, 1939 in Albertville, AL to Parma Lee and Emma Inez (Chaffin) Odom. He graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile Read Obituary
Odom, Elliott & Martin was the first firm I clerked for in the summer of 1984 after my first year at the UofA School of Law. I have fond memories of working for Mr. Odom. I am saddened by his passing. My prayers are with him and his family and friends.

I am so sorry for your loss! I only met Mr. Odom a few times. He hated me calling him "Mr. Odom" but I told him that was just how I was raised. One case I remember he had forgotten his file. I had my assistant copy everything I had for him on the spot. Mr. Odom looked at me with surprise and smiled and thanked me. I remember him thanking me and acting like I had done something no other attorney would do. From then on I made it a point to always treat all attorneys, even those who went against me, with the utmost respect and honor, like I had treated Mr. Odom and he had treated me. I shall never forget that...or him.

I just learned of Bobby's passing and it saddens me to know that one of the patriarchs of the legal profession has gone. I have been away from the private practice of law for many years, but Bobby was always one of my favorites. My sympathies to his family.

My sincere condolences to you all. Bobby was a dear friend of my dad, LaMonte Fulton, who passed away last year. Although our families lost touch since moving to Texas back in 1971, we have fond memories of the late 1960's when Bobby and LaMonte worked at Crawford and Co. in Fayetteville and then when Bob started law school at UofA. I can remember them sharing many good times and laughs together. Bobby was a great guy with a wry sense of humor, which my dad loved.

Bobby and I were close friends in high school. We both lived in the Westlawn community in Mobile. We were both in the same high school fraternity, Phi Sigma Chi. Our senior year, Bobby nominated me to be President of the fraternity, and I was elected. After we graduated, we lost touch. I went to Auburn and Bobby went to Southern. We had some good times together.
To the Odom family, Bobby was an amazing man. He loved life. He was an amazing friend to my family, the Terwilligers. Bobby was a dear friend to my Daddy, JL Terwilliger. I will never forget all of the kindness and love he showed to my family when we lost both Momma and Daddy. My heart goes out to your family at this difficult time. Much love.
