Carla was an extraordinary woman and will be missed.
Carla,All of us here at Northwestern State University that knew you still think and talk about you. We miss you dearly.Wanda Goleman
Dear Carla:You were my dear friend, confidant and the funniest colleague I worked with at McGraw-Hill. We shared a love of all things creative like beads and making cigar box purses, a competitive spirit and an appreciation of "southern sensibilities". Of course you were larger than life and your name "Magness" suited you perfectly. You will be missed by so many who have loved and adored you for years. Rest in peace sweet Southern Belle.Deb Kirby Exum
I have alot of childhood memories of Carla. We lived next to each other for many years in Camden..... my deepest sympathy
I send my deepest condolences to Carla's family. She and I were classmates together from elementary school through high school. We shared many wonderful childhood experiences together. One of my favorite memories was our summer as candy stripers at Camden hospital. My parents, Ellis and Dorothy Evans, send their heartfelt prayers.
I have known Carla for the past 5 years through McGraw Hill. She was such a kind soul. We all lost a sweet and kind angel. May Carla and her the family find peace. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
It's hard to believe it's been 18 years since I met Carla at my first McGraw-Hill sales meeting. I considered Carla not just a colleague, but a friend. She made a beautiful necklace for me that I wore at my wedding 16 years ago. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed.
We will sincerely miss our dear neighbor Carla. We shared a love for our pets and will miss all the evenings spent visiting after getting our yard work done. Our condolences to her family.
We prayed for Carla at St. Margaret's this morning and lit a candle in her memory. We will miss her. Cathy Riley
There is certainly another angel in heaven. Carla could always turn a bad day around just with the sound of her voice. She was a mentor and a cherished friend who I will miss deeply. Thank you Carla for making the world a better place.
