Such sad, heartbreaking news. My first friend and boss in Fayetteville. Mary, memories of happy busy times of all our young boys and all the work will always be bound up with your dear husband. Daniel was my friend first, then my landlord and friend, then my accountant and friend. And, of course, my poker buddy for over 30 years. Through it all, he was the most serene, cheery and even handed guy I ever had the pleasure of calling my friend. Mary, William and John Tucker, I share your grief but just know DMac will be missed and never forgotten.

It has been a great privilege to have known Daniel. Daniel was of great help to us when Michael was going through health problems that were similar to Daniel's, although much less severe. We will forever be grateful for his willingness to help and share his experiences, and we were amazed and inspired by his poise in dealing with his own disease. Daniel was an exemplary human being and family man. He will be missed!
