Life Legacy
Harriet Seaman Knopp, age 80, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born on April 9, 1938, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, to Edward and Agnes (Coffman) Seaman. She is preceded in death by her brother, William Henry Seaman; her two sisters-in-law, Nancy Seaman and Carol Seaman; and her father-in-law, Leonard Knopp.
Harriet spent thirty years working alongside her husband caring for semi-orphaned and orphaned children at the Milton Hershey School. She loved to read and do arts and crafts. She also loved to travel, and one of her fondest memories was the eleven-day trip that she and Jack took by bus out to California to see the Pasadena Rose Parade.
She is survived by her loving husband, Leonard “Jack” Knopp of the home; her two sons, Paul Knopp and wife Beth of Rogers, Arkansas, and Robert Knopp and wife Lisa of Valrico, Florida; her brother, Thomas Seaman of Seaford, Virginia; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren with three on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
