Bob and I just celebrated our fortieth anniversary and welcomed into the world our fifth grandchild. No good marriage is easy, but when I think of the people that helped us build the foundation that has kept us strong, Jamie is at the top of the list. His wisdom and love for his family was a tremendous witness for all of us and I look forward to seeing Jamie's beautiful smile again someday in heaven. I was so blessed to know him.

To all the Jones Family, It is with great sadness that I read of Jamie's death. He was such a supporter, encourager and example for so many of us who went to U of A and had the joy of participating in the B.S.U. I join so many others in remembering him with joy and thankfulness that our paths crossed(and continued to when we moved to AL). He surely showed and lived the love of Christ. Dear Beverly, Jamie III and family, I am sad to learn of Jamie's passing. He was an admired and much appreciated co-laborer for Christ, and good friend to my father. And kind enough to help Daddy (Terrel) with my wedding way back when, and 10 years ago, with our celebration of Daddy's life. I pray for God's amazing peace, presence and comfort in your missing him.

My deepest sympathies to the Jones family. Jamie was one of the most Godly men that I have ever had the privilege of knowing - and he made an impact upon a couple of generations of college students that will last into eternity.

In the mid-1960's, I was a colleague of Jamie's. He treated me as an equal, and I felt his respect. I viewed him as a mentor, the highest form of respect I in my mind. I watched his interaction with scores of young college students. He loved and accepted every one of them, but he also served as a strong role model. His legacy will last for a very long time.
He was one of the best.
Aunt Beverly and all the Jones cousins - I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Jamie was a wonderful person and I have many fond memories of him (and ya'll) from our visits to Atmore and our family reunions. Please know that all of you are in my prayers.
