Dear Hale family,Doctor Hale was on the Poultry Science faculty at the University of Georgia when I was a student and research technician in the early 1970s. A wonderful mind and a patient teacher. I remember him every time I boil (forgive me hard cook) an egg. I remember him fondly.I know that he will be missed by all of you. May God bless you and support you in this your time of great loss.
Hale family,You are in my prayers. I worked with Kirk at Clemson University in the Poultry Science department from 1978 until he left. He helped me much as a new (single) faculty member. I recall fondly Kirk and his family welcoming me to their beautiful Lake Keowee home.His boyish smile, quick friendship and tremendous work ethic are just a few of the many positive attributes that I cherish about Kirk. Uncle Kirk was a great inspiration in my life growing up. I have fond memories of all the time my family spent on holidays and vacations together with Uncle Kirk, Aunt Maggie and my sweet cousins. I am so happy I was able to spend time with him 2 years ago to catch up and meet Marcia . My heart and blessing to my cousins Kyle and Lauren and their families and Marcia.

Mike and I knew Dr. Hale from days at Clemson University. I worked part-time in his lab on a project to lengthen the shelf life of deviled eggs, starting around 1977 or '78. He was a great guy. We wish we had known he had returned to Fayetteville so we could have re-connected. We ended up in Fayetteville where my husband finished the last 25 years of his career in the Food Science Dept. (Food Safety) We remember Dr. Hale with great fondness and extend our sympathies to the whole family.

Marcia,As you know, Kirk was the big brother I did not have. I was happy for him that the two of you could bond after the loss of Maggie and Bernie. Thank you both for our catching up lunch last fall at the SHS class reunion. He will be remembered as the honorable person he was throughout his long and impressive journey through life.
