Lawrence Charles Theriault's Obituary
Lawrence Charles Theriault, 80, of Newport, Arkansas, passed away in Fayetteville, Arkansas on February 25, 2020. He was born November 28, 1939 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Joseph Theriault and his mother, Laura Marie Deragon Theriault and grandson Berkeley Theriault.
He is survived by his wife, Delores and his children Marie and Keith Scheuerell, Laura (Dewey) Killingsworth, Paul and Sheryl Theriault, Charles and Christin Theriault and Brian and Brittany Theriault. Grandchildren Brendon and Jason Lantz, Chris Hutchings, Weston, Caden, and Garret Theriault, Wyatt Blankenship and Kenai Snape.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a teacher at Newport High School for 16 years. He was a gunsmith and loved collecting and restoring guns and knives and being outdoors. He was a man of principle who always believed in doing the right thing. He enjoyed good conversation and a good laugh. He was a caring soul and loved animals.
The visitation will start at 11:00am, February 28th, 2020 at Moore’s Chapel with funeral services starting at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
