Well Alma, You probably already know, but my friend Pam has joined you now. She's the lady who was Jessie's karate instructor, the one I told you how cool she was and you said to invite her out for coffee. I remember the conversation like it was yesterday. I remember telling you I didn't even know if she drank coffee. You said invite her anyways. Well after you passed Jessie brought her an advertisement that we got in the mail where you could buy this angel, so Miss Thomas would always remember Angel Alma. It was a cute gesture on Jessie's part - but can you believe Pam kept that angel hanging by her desk at work for years? Anyways - you were right, we grew to be very close friends. Pam helped me through a lot of times that I was missing you. I never really found my place after you left - because Pam belonged to Karate and had a lot of friends... she got along with everybody, there were a lot of times I just didn't feel like I fit in with the crowd. Not with Pam, but with the crowd. Sarah has all her friends from Church - and as you know Lisa moved before you left. But even so, I had Pam here, who I could call on even when I was missing you. I suppose even when you were here I felt the same way. You would go out with your friends and I stayed home with Jessie. Even sometimes when Carmen would come in town you would go out with her and I would watch the kids and I felt so lonely. Now here I am 11 years later still missing you and Pam had to leave. I just don't understand. I miss you so much and I miss her so much. I'm only 44 and I've outlived two of my closest and dearest friends. Look for her - she knew all about you. She knows what you look like, what a good friend you are, she knows everything about you. Now it's time you meet her. Take care of each other up there. I'll be thinking about both of you. I miss you - and love you - JoAnne
