Loretta Barr Piper's Obituary
Loretta Barr Piper, 79, of Rogers, Ark. died, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Jamestown Nursing and Rehab in Rogers. She was born July 8, 1936 in Bridgeton, NJ to Everett and Marion Robinson Loper. She graduated from Ryder College with a Bachelor Degree and was a substitute teacher off and on throughout the years but was happiest as a stay at home mom raising her two children. Loretta s passion was breeding, raising and judging Persian cats. She was a long standing member of the Cat Fanciers Association and served as a judge in many national contests. Her Persian cat won the Best in Show for the nation in 1969. She enjoyed working in her garden, cooking and continued to enjoy caring for animals the rest of her life. Loretta and her husband, William Piper, ran the Tackle Box Caf on Highway 303.She was preceded in death by her husband, William, Piper on May 2, 2011. Survivors include one son, Jason Piper and wife, Tina of Gravette, Ark; one daughter, Karen Piper of Rogers and two grandchildren, Samantha and Katelyn Piper.Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
