I was on a business trip in Shanghai when I heard the news of Mark's passing and was deeply grieved. I have had the privilege of working with him for the last 14 years and I have never known a finer man. Mark had a personality that naturally drew me to him. His stories of adventures sailing in Pacific coastal waters, bike trips in California, crossing the Canadian border and time spent helping friends build a cabin in Arkansas were always intriguing. His zest for life, his unassuming mannerisms, his intelligent thought process, his humility, his Christian faith, his persistence in doing things the right way and his consistent habit of wearing a neck tie on Fridays are all things I will fondly remember. Though I have not yet had the opportunity of meeting Ann, it was clear by the frequent mention of her name that Mark loved her deeply. He often referred to her in our conversations and always with affection and respect. She and Mark's parents are in my prayers. My deepest condolences to the family and all who loved him.
