Dr. Hugh M. Jeffus, 79 of Fayetteville, AR passed peacefully January 18, 2011 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. He was surrounded by family and his caring spouse of 57 years. Hugh was born June 16, 1931 in Whee Read Obituary
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Dr. J. He was such a dear man. I have so many wonderful memories of him. I enjoyed working and getting to know him while he was at TSU. One memory was he was going to marry John and I (which will be 20 years in June) if our pastor didn't make it back from a trip in time for our wedding. He didn't need to, but was at our wedding. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this sad time.
I'm very sorry for your loss. Jean drove the school bus at Happy Hollow School. My Children went to school with Scott. Thank you for the years of taking care of all those children.
So sorry to hear of Mr. Jeffus' passing. I'll always remember his common sense approach to teaching and making sure that the important principles in everyday application were emphasized and covered. My condolences to his family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Hugh's passing. I will always remember him as a kind, caring colleague. I will also cherish our relationship as Christian brethren. It was nice to have him in the department in that regard as well.

Now Hugh really has lived the words of this song to the end

To the family of Hugh Jeffus I know somewhat of your grief and pain

I am sorry to hear of Hugh's passing. He was such an inspiration and encouragement to me and my family. I thought of him and Jean often in the years since we went to church together. May God bless and comfort you.
Jean... so many good memories of days long gone.
We speak often of times at Memphis and Pine Bluff.

Uncle Hugh was such a blessing to our family. He led his life by example. I feel very blessed to have had him in my life. He will be missed by so many. It's comforting to know that he is no longer in pain, but rejoicing in heaven with all of our family and friends that have gone on before us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I love you all with all of my heart. I know Grandpa Jeph will be excited to see him, it's been a long time.
