Our thoughts & Prayers are with you.
Dear Joy & family,
Our deepest sympathies go out to you all, on the passing of Dr. Gyles. We only learned of his death just this weekend, and are so very shocked and saddened, having no idea of his illness, or that you all were back in Arkansas. We have queried many times if you both were still in Idaho, and how you were doing.
Dr. Gyles was a gifted surgeon and we were not only so fortunate to have known his skills, but also, his love of life, music, humor and his kind way of interacting with his patients and staff.
He will be sorely missed by so may.
May God bless you and keep you and give you strength through this very difficult passage.
Our love and prayers to you and yours,
Cyndi Corkran, RN

Joy: I was shocked and saddened to hear last Friday [09/03] of Nick's illness and death. I have been holding each of you, as well as your children, in my thoughts and prayers, but also in the wonderful memories I have of both you and Nick and also of Heather coming to our book discussions. Although I am so grateful for the time we had, I am also so sad to hear of Nick's death. Nick was a special person and a good friend. I will cherish my memories of our time together. I would love to hear from you, Joy, as I want you to know how special you and Nick were to both Erica and to me.
I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Gyles passing. He was such a wonderful and thoughtful man! He was an excellent surgeon who loved his patients!
Joy- you and your family are in our prayers. I am sending you a letter this week.
Our partnership lasted only a few months, but the comraderie will be with me forever. Nick was the first partner I had after leaving training. He was completely reliable and an excellent operating surgeon. I learned good techniques under his watchful eye as we assisted each other in difficult cases. Outside of the OR, Nick was smart, funny, and truly compassionate. His love of Christ was evident in the way he treated me and his patients. We didn't have a lot of time to share our friendship in this life; so the eternities will have to suffice. I love you Nick.
Joy,
I am so very saddened to hear about Dr. Gyles. Please know that you are in my prayers.
With much love for you both,
Diane
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Dear Roy,
So sorry for the loss of your son. I didn't know him, but obviously he was loved, respected and appreciated by those who did know him. I know it is a great comfort to know that you and Yovonne raised a boy who was so helpful to others. It is hard to understand how or why such a useful life is cut short as his has been. He leaves a fine family, wife and three children who of course will miss him terribly. I feel badly for you all. Cherish the good memories even as we fail to understand why this happened.
I was a classmate of Nicky's. He was always so polite. Very handsome and extremly smart. He operated on my father-in-law 4-5 yrs ago & saved his live when he had an aortic anurysum. So very sorry for you loss. Keeping you in my prayers.
