Please accept my dearest sympathy, during this great loss in your life. He was truly a remarkable person. I remember him as being a very good husband and father. He always took time to spend with us as children and always stood for what was right. I have very fond memories of spending time with your family as I was growing up. Again, my deepest sympathy. I'm so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I saw his picture in the paper and a flood of memories came back of the good times I had as a child at Valerie's house. Don would be sitting in his chair on Saturdays - reading the paper, watching television, and listening to the ballgame on the radio - all at the same time! Always amazed me how he could do that. Susan - only a good Daddy would paint his little girl's room bright red, because that's what his little girl wanted. My Daddy fixed me a green & yellow striped room. God Bless our Daddies!

Don was a very special friend. Norma was a fellow Postmaster, one of my favorite memories, was it was a Holiday, a day off from work, I was going to clean house, My doorbell rang Don & Norma stood by my door & said (lets go & do something fun today). I will always remember the smell of his pipe and the laugh (at my expense) he had when I unintentionally midwifed the family cat. I am sorry for your loss.
