Ted Phipps
I first met Jerrell in 1978 when I went to work for him at Data Tronics. Then when he moved to Sparks Hospital I went with him. In all I worked for him for twenty years. But mostly he was a great friend. He was there to celebrate my successes and to reach out a hand in my failures. I have so many fond memories of Jerrell, he was just fun to be around. He was like a brother to me during these years, and then our careers went separate ways. Recently I have thought of Jerrell often, but failed to make contact. Regretfully, it seems we only make time in our schedules to take stock of those who have left there mark on our lives after they are gone. It saddens me that I will not have the chance to thank Jerrell for the contributions he has made in shaping my life. I know he loved his family and over the years I have met some of you and through his stories I know all of you. Jerrell my friend will be missed.
