Jerrell Wayne Johnson
Jerrell Wayne Johnson, age 62, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, died Monday, June 20, 2011 at Sequoyah Memorial Hospital in Sallisaw. He was born September 4, 1948 at Santa Clara, California, the son of J. W. and Lucille Gallimore Johnson. Over his lifetime he held various occupations in life. His most recent being a cattle rancher. He was a member of the United Braford Breeders Association along with being on the Board of Directors of this association. What brought him the most pride and joy were the lights of his life, his two daughters. He spoke often about them with great pride, love and admiration. He relished the day that he became a grandfather. Hearing the words Paw Paw would bring a smile to his face like no other. He enjoyed spoiling his grandsons with Paw Paw gifts and his never ending hugs. He was a loving son who devoted his life to his family. He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer L. Johnson of Pensacola, FL and Dana Froud and her husband Kevin of Fayetteville; his parents, J. W. Johnson of Sallisaw, OK and Lucille Johnson of Huntington, AR; two sisters, Margaret Inge of Greenwood, AR and Ramona Abernathy and her husband Waylon Abernathy Jr. of Mt. Ida, AR; two brothers, Therrell Johnson of Sallisaw, OK and James “Terry” Johnson of San Jose, CA; three grandchildren, Brady Lee Froud, Trey Wayne Froud and Craig Marcus Froud; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 24 at Moore’s Chapel and interment will be in Baptist Ford Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday at Moore’s Chapel.
