Joetta was our next door neighbor for over twenty years. She was like family. My husband and I visited with her all the time and we laughed a lot. I miss looking across the yard and seeing her out walking around her yard. That little house will always be Joetta's in my mind. Love and light Joetta.
I remember Joetta from years ago when she still lived at Japton.
She stayed with my family after my mother had surgery, and was a big help. She was a sweet lady.

Joetta was my dear friend and neighbor when she lived on W. Mountain Street. I loved her stories about her family and about growing up in the Japton area. Her values of independence, generosity, frugality, love of nature were clearly derived from that background. We enjoyed sharing plants, taking walks, occasional trips to the grocery store, and just sitting on her steps and enjoying the beauty of the trees and the sky. Her friendship was a treasure in my life.
