A great man who positively influenced my life back in 1975. I was a senior in High School (GW Carver), interning with his department at UAB for the first semester of my senior year. His advices are the direct reasons for my successful 39 year career in the Defense industry. For years I wanted to talk to him and tell him of his positive impact, but I couldn't find him. This saddens me. My condolences to his family for your loss.
I have encouraging memories of Lionel and his family. My thoughts are with you.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Skaggs family.
I always enjoyed visiting with him at Fayetteville Country Club. I remember that when he came in at noon for lunch, he would build a fire in the fireplace in the Razorback Room. He will be missed!
I liked Lionel from the first time I met him at Granny Smith's. I remember walking to the pond with him almost 60 years ago, and being captivated by his voice and pattern of speech.
Lionel was a great friend and gentleman. We feel a great loss! We pray that God will comfort Barbara and Family.
