A. Dale Hulet's Obituary
A. Dale Hulet, 88, of Fayetteville, AR passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville.
He was born on February 27, 1935, to John Alva Hulet and Della Mae Jackson Hulet in Robinson Community near Siloam Springs, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 57 years Leveta Joyce Griffin Hulet; a brother, Harrel; a sister, Helen Myers Sweeten; a brother, Bobby Glenn; and two sons-in-law, David Elam and Jeff Petty.
Dale grew up farming with his family in the Highfill Community and graduated from Vaugh High School and Fayetteville business college. He was a sergeant in the National Guard.
He was employed by Campbell Soup Company and retired after 36 years from a supervisory position.
Dale loved farming and enjoyed having a garden throughout his life. He especially loved growing watermelons and hot peppers. He could often be found at his own farm tending to the catfish pond. He loved the woods, mushroom hunting, animals, and building or fixing things with his own hands. He was a Jack of All Trades; with great wisdom and knowledge, he loved demonstrating to his family members, all he knew. He was a Christian.
He is survived by his brother, Allen Eugene Hulet and his wife, Kathleen Hulet; two daughters; Debra Elam McDonald and husband Darin McDonald of West Fork; Dali Petty of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Clint Elam, Aaron Elam and Sadie Gonzalez; four great-grandchildren, Paisley, Mack, Dodger, and Rhys; and a host of family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 2 pm with visitation an hour prior at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial will be at Weddington Cemetery. Condolences may be given online at www.bernafuneralhomes.com
