He embraced life with a passion, exploring paths both jagged and beautiful. His journey through life mirrored the mountains where he spent most of his adult life—often rugged and challenging, yet filled with immeasurable beauty. Adam's gentleness and deep appreciation for nature shaped a life marked by curiosity, music, and adventure. His creative spirit found expression in his music, art, and ideas, filling the lives of those around him with beauty and inspiration.
Despite the challenges he faced, Adam approached life with an inquisitive mind and a gentle spirit. His adventures in music, nature, and various hobbies spoke of someone who loved to learn and explore, always with an appreciation for the beauty that surrounded him. Adam's resilience and unwavering curiosity inspired all who knew him, and his capacity to find beauty in the world remains undiminished.
Adam leaves behind a legacy of love, profoundly impacting those fortunate enough to have known him. He is survived by his parents, Ronald Bruton, M.D., and Karen Ferguson Bruton; his siblings Eric, Sarah, and Rachel Bruton; his grandmother Jerry Garner Ferguson; his grandmother Shirley Sanders Bruton; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Bruton and Ferguson families.
In the wake of Adam’s passing, let us remember him for the compelling bright spirit he was to those around him, and the joy he brought into our lives. He was a bold athlete, a gifted musician, and inquisitive tinkerer, excelling at most anything he put his mind to. His gentle care for his pets, plants, and all living things is evident in the cherished photos he leaves behind—each one a testament to his appreciation of the natural world.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to organizations dedicated to mental health awareness and suicide prevention in Adam's honor, which reflect his own struggles.
