Albert Loyd Davis
Albert Loyd Davis, 72, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at his home.
He was born October 13, 1938 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, the son of William Audrey and Mildred Grace Harwell Davis. He was preceded in death by a brother, William O. Davis.
He was a retired engineer with SWEPCO and a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in electrical engineering. He was a member of Wiggins Memorial United Methodist Church and served in the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Davis ; a son, Bill Davis of Fayetteville; a daughter, Lydia Fields of Fayetteville; a grandson, Chris Fields of Fayetteville; two sisters, Louise Williams of Springdale and Shirley Bridges and her husband Gayle of Fayetteville; a brother, George Davis and his wife Jeanette of Oklahoma City, OK; a sister-in-law, Betty Davis of Texarkana, AR.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, August 5 at Wiggins Memorial United Methodist Church in Fayetteville and interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday at Moore’s Chapel.
