Paul, we grieve with you and your family at the passing of your wonderful, wonderful wife, Alice. Having the pleasure of conversation with Alice on a few occasions in the Schmidt Law Office, left a lasting impression. Her passion for children, specifically children in need, was comforting in our time of need and strengthened us to stand firm to know that God still has people in this finite world with hearts of gold. In Hebrew, Alice, has been an “Eshet Chayil” (Woman of Valor) defined in Proverbs 31, which begins in verse 10 with “Who can find a virtuous wife? for her price is far above rubies” and concludes in verse 31 with “Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates”
Alice’s fruit in this world are now praising her in The Eternal Gates in what must be a Jubilant welcome home celebration. We read in the obituary that Alice touched the lives of 1000s of children and 1000s of parents during the course of her career and no doubt this is true. However, I believe the total number of lives touched outside of her career are innumerable.
Our Grandson's, Liam and Elijah, are just two of the innumerable and are living testaments of the Fruit from Alice and Paul's hands. Through their acts of loving kindness and God's mercy, these boys are alive. Alice's memory will live on through them.
We send our praise and prayers through The Gates and on before The Throne for you. Praise The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for Paul and Alice.
Oh my goodness, precious memories flood my soul. We weathered the good times and the bad times together, my sweet friend. You were a wonderful forever friend, always there for me and my family. Wonderful talented businesswoman, and there aren't words to describe you as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. But most importantly a precious child of God! Look for me because I will see you again, my friend who was more like a sister! I love you dearly! Blessings and comfort to all. Cathy Paris
so sad to hear. We purchased Mrs. Schmidt's daycare in Jacksonville where our children attended. She was a great mentor and helped me in my daycare adventure in ownerships. Praying for the family
I was so sad to hear about Ms Schmidt this morning. I worked for DDK Childcare for many years as the Director of her #1 location in Levy . She was always so good to me and so kind when my mom had cancer and passed - I will always remember her kind words . Alice was so funny and always smiling - she would keep us laughing when she came to visit us at the daycare and I cracked up when she would talk about being a Tom Jones fan!!😊 she will be missed but the love she had for Mr Schmidt was very obvious- she would just glow when around or talking about him and her children - she loved her children so much - we have sent each other Christmas cards to catch up each year - I will miss her sweet notes but Praise God she has only been called home for now and we will all get the chance to reunite one day - Mr. Schmidt , you and your family are in my prayers
