Alma Maxine (Reynolds) McCullah's Obituary
Alma Maxine (Reynolds) McCullah, went to meet her Lord and Savior May 6, 2006 at Washington Regional Medical Center.
Maxine was born April 20, 1927 in Japton, AR in Madison County to W. G. and Kate (Jordan) Reynolds. She was married to O.V. (Vernon) McCullah who preceded her in death. Maxine also was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Charlie, Frank, Harvey, Willie, and one sister Oma Cleo Morehouse
Maxine was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ; she most recently attended Center Street Church of Christ, in Fayetteville.
Maxine grew up working in the grocery business. She worked at Purdys Grocery for many years; Piggly Wiggly on Dickson Street and finally her own Mini-Mart until she retired due to health reasons.
She is survived by three brothers and their wives; Olen and Willetta Reynolds of Fayetteville, AR, Doyle and Alma Lou Reynolds of Fayetteville, AR, Claude Ray and Margaret Reynolds of Sublette,KS, two sisters, Jewel Paschal of Fayetteville, AR, and Bessie and Wayne Davidson of Haysville, KS, along with many loving nieces, nephews and many good friends from church and Peachtree Retirement Village in Farmington. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Monday, May 8th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 9th in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Mr. Bill Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, AR.
