Amber Nichole Miller's Obituary
Amber Nichole Miller of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, was born June 9th, 1983 in Springdale Arkansas. She couldn’t wait to get here and start making her mark on the world arriving 8 weeks early. She was always willing to try new things such as basketball, where she was known as the “Little Nasty”. Needless to say, it didn’t take long to realize her true calling was cheerleading, where she excelled with her awesome cheer team reaching nationals. Her charisma and large personality along with her bright smile and encouraging attitude engaged everyone and filled them with team pride.
When she notified us she had joined the Air Force her mother’s jaw dropped. After initially signing up for 4 years to work surveillance in an AWACS plane they determined her 4’11” frame was not tall enough for the job. From there she determined Air Traffic Control was the next best thing. It was a little closer to the ground, like her. The training was difficult and there were times she didn’t think she could do it, but she did. She went on to complete tours in South Korea and Qatar.
After 7 years and numerous ribbons, medals, and commendations she was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Amber’s ambition and big heart then lead her to the path of becoming a Registered Nurse. During her schooling, she met her earthly angel and love, Nathan. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. With Nathan’s help and support, this did not slow her down and she graduated receiving the Florence Nightingale Award and winning her battle against cancer. Through this experience, Amber realized her passion for helping other cancer patients and became an Oncology Nurse.
Amber passed from this life June 5th, 2020 at age 36. She attended Fellowship Bible Church in Fayetteville.
Amber was a Christian and loved her Lord. She loved Nathan and his family, her family, her fur babies Tucker & Max, and she loved her friends completely and unconditionally. She loved the Pittsburg Steelers and was the #1 Michael Jackson fan of all time. To put it simply, Amber loved.
Preceding Amber in death were grandparents Arthur and Edythe Miller, and Mike and Lue Ellen Morio. Survivors are her parents James and Beth Miller of Fayetteville; sisters Jordan Miller of Little Rock, Morgan Ganoung and husband Jordon of Rogers; a brother Mason Miller of Fayetteville; her boyfriend Nathan Snarr of Prairie Grove; grandparents Loretta and Lorin Oxford of Rogers; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her fur babies Tucker and Max.
She will be greatly missed, and we look forward to the day when we will meet again in Heaven.
