Jan Oswalt
Dearest John,I am struck with disbelieve as I am only today learning of Amelia's death. We lived together for a time in Russellville in 1977-80 and over the years have always purposed to stay in touch with each other and 3 years ago met for a nice afternoon visit over Spring Break in Siloam Springs. My heart is broken at the loss of this dear treasure of a friend. She was amazing to talk and pray with me following my mother's death in 2008 and brother's murder in 2011-always expressing concern for my family whom she'd met. For me, she was that rare, once in a lifetime friend, who KNEW me and I knew her and we could be just who we were. She was that special link to that time in my life when two young women were making their way through life and both determined to do it successfully. She always spoke of her love for you and your family. I loved her dearly and was heart sick when my bounced e-mail prompted me to search her name which brought up the obituary and news article. I will pray for you and her family. The only comfort at this moment is knowing exactly where she is and that I will most certainly see her again. I would love to be able to speak with you. With deepest regards to everyone, Jan
