Ann Marcella Canzler's Obituary
Our beloved Ann Marcella Canzler, passed away on the morning of August 18, 2023 (Age 69) in her home, surrounded by her family. Her heart was filled with joy, light, and God’s praise.
Born in Luton England on September 8th, 1953, Ann grew up as an Air Force dependent travelling overseas, bringing her many great family life adventures with stories to tell!
While living In Brindisi, Italy, she met and fell in love with Robert (Bob) Canzler (USAF). They married in Homestead, FL (AFB). Soon after they began adding to the family, bringing Ian and Vanessa into the world. Bob passed far too soon. Upon his passing, Ann settled in Harrison, AR to be near her parents and family support.
While in Harrison, she attended NWACC, along with beginning a career with A.G. Edwards working as a Branch Office Administrator. She could be heard every afternoon on the Harrison radio reading the daily stock market report. Ann and her children were active members at the First Presbyterian Church.
Once her children were grown, Ann relocated to Fayetteville, AR where she spent the past 23 years. Many of those years working for Edward Jones, from which she retired in 2018. Ann soaked up all the fun Fayetteville had to offer, loving nothing more than going “Out on the Town” with friends, visitors and family. She enjoyed too many concerts at George’s to count and often hosted friends for Bikes, Blues and BBQ, a true “hostess with the mostest”!
Ann’s life was filled with people that gravitated in her direction for wisdom, counsel, and prayers when needed. Ann never met a stranger; a true free-spirited friend to everyone sharing many wonderful and loving friendships. Gardening brought Ann great pride & joy as well as creating a beautiful home; her landscape was one of the prettiest in her neighborhood. Ann often took solace sitting in her garden sipping a cup of English tea on a Sunday morning.
Ann was always her family’s leader and cheerleader with five grandchildren being her world. She loved nothing more than spoiling them, hearing stories of their adventures and misadventures, sharing them with anyone who would listen! Ann brought her family together for every occasion possible. Her laugh & love filled the house with her Spirit and will be truly missed by all who had the good fortune to know and love her!
Ann is survived by Albert and Edith Hume (Parents); Ian Canzler (Son); Sopheara (Daughter-in-Law); Solrena, James and Aubrey Canzler (Grandchildren); Vanessa Woods (Daughter) and Seth (Son-in-Law); Nellie and Elaina Woods (Granddaughters); John Hume (Brother), Douglas Hume (Brother) and David Mendoza (Brother-in-Law); Faith Hume (Sister) and Stacey Campbell (Sister-in-Law).
