Ann Warren Powers' Obituary
Ann Warren Powers, of Rogers, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. She was born on August 20, 1940, in Jacksonville, Florida to Bankhead and Joy Waist Warren. Ann had a sister, Roberta Joy Abstein, who preceded her in death.
Ann was a remarkable individual whose life was characterized by her unwavering
dedication to her passions. She was a faithful member of All Saints Episcopal Church, where she found inspiration in her spiritual journey. Ann was an accomplished artist and had studied under many nationally known oil painters. Her artistic skills were recognized as she achieved Signature Member status in both the Artists of Northwest Arkansas and the American Impressionist
Society. She was a co-founder of the Plein-Aire Painters of the Ozarks, where her creative passion for art was contagious, and she inspired countless others to
explore their own creative abilities.
Ann is survived by her husband of 57 years, William (Kip) Powers, who stood by her side through all of life's joys and challenges. Their love was a source of strength for them both. Ann leaves behind two sons, Michael (Kathyrn) and Stephen Powers (Kathleen), who were the pride of her life. Her three granddaughters, Lauren, Morgan and Tara Powers and grandson Blake Powers will always carry her memory in their hearts.
Ann touched the lives of many with her artistic talents, warm heart,
and unwavering faith. Her legacy will continue to shine brightly through her
artwork and the countless lives she influenced.
The family is grateful to the staff of Circle of Life Hospice for their kind care for Ann.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to All Saints Episcopal Church, Artists of Northwest Arkansas, or Circle of Life Hospice.
A memorial service to celebrate Ann's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 23, 2023, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Rogers, where friends and
family will gather to remember and honor her.
