Anna Fyrn Strange's Obituary
Anna Fyrn Strange, age 75, of Fayetteville, Arkansas died Friday; November 18, 2011 in Fayetteville. She was born February 13, 1936 in Wheeler, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Everett A. and Vanita Faubus Layne.
She was a secretary for numerous banks over her career including First Federal Savings & Loan, Washington County Savings and Loan, and Superior Federal Savings and Loan, but finished her career in the family business as the office manager for Carl Strange Plumbing.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church since 1964, and a member of the Gideon’s Auxiliary in Fayetteville.
She was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, Alton Layne and Billy Layne.
She is survived by her husband, Carldean Strange of the home, three sons; David Strange of Fayetteville, Darrell L. Strange and wife Patricia of Springdale, Darin K. Strange and wife Michelle of Farmington, one brother, Jim Layne and dear friend Hoyle Robinson of Orlando, Florida, ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2011 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with services held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church on Porter Road, with Rev. Darrell Kendrick officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Comfort Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gene Patrick, Jack Thompson, Doyle Morgan, Drew Strange, Dolton Strange, and John Strange.
