Anne Buss' Obituary
Anne Buss passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on December 4, 1942, she was the daughter of Catherine and Russell Bratton. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Buss. Together, they raised five children and were later blessed with 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Anne lived life in her own unique way—always stylish and never in a rush. Her home was a cozy reflection of who she was: filled with stacks of books and magazines, lush plants, and plenty of clothes and accessories. She loved to read at all hours, often in her pajamas, and had a deep appreciation for a well-set table and a good shopping trip. A lifelong learner, Anne had a curious mind and a deep love of conversation. She truly enjoyed connecting with others. If you stopped by, she’d welcome you in for a chat that could range from what she was reading to what was going on in the world. She was known for her quirks and charm: painting her nails while driving to work, never quite being on time (and never minding it), and enjoying Dr. Pepper—hot or cold. In her early days, she made a lasagna that was hard to beat. She cherished the little joys in life: hotcakes and sausage from McDonald’s, pizza from Tim’s, gummy bears and simply lounging with a good book. Anne will be lovingly remembered as Mom, Maw Maw, Ninnie, and as the woman who filled our lives with unforgettable memories. We will miss her dearly, but carry her spirit with us always.
