Anne McNabb's Obituary
Anne Steuart Crise McNabb, 94, died March 6, 2017 of natural causes in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 3, 1923, the daughter of Howard Lynne Crise and Anna Steuart Crise. Her siblings, Elizabeth Crise Swaney and Howard Lynne Crise, Jr, preceded her in death. During World War II she was enlisted in the WAVES and served at the Navel Air Station, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was married to the late Clifford McNabb of Pocahontas, Arkansas for forty-four years until his illness and death. Mrs. McNabb was a homemaker and a active social and civic volunteer. She was a life long member of the Methodist Church, a Girl Scout Leader, President of the Crowley Ridge Girl Scout Council, a board member of the Pocahontas Public Library, a board member of the Arkansas State University Museum of Art and founding member of the Chapter AR of the PEO Sisterhood in 1952, and a bronze Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League. She is survived by her two daughters, Betsy Phillips and husband, Loyd of Springdale, AR and Lynne Walton and husband, Jim of Bentonville, AR; six grandchildren, MacKenzie Phillips and wife, Deb, Joanne Phillips, Annie Proietti and husband, Joey, Steuart Walton, Tom Walton and wife, Olivia, and James Walton; four great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Gabriel Phillips and Cora Lynne and Louis Proietti. The family will have a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family suggest a donation to your favorite charity.
