Ardeth Lodema Mattice's Obituary
Ardeth Lodema Mattice, 94, of Fayetteville, AR passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2007, in Fayetteville, AR. She was born January 9, 1913, in Eagle Grove, IA, to Henry Hughs and Edith Myra (France) Donly. After graduating from Morningside College, she taught in the public secondary schools for five years in Waverley, IA, and Eagle Grove, IA. She was an active member of AAUW and the Audubon Society in Sioux Falls, SD. She enjoyed music, painting, reading, and birdwatching. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Lloyd H. Mattice, and is survived by two sons; Wayne L. Mattice of Akron, OH, and John D. Mattice, of Fayetteville, AR; one granddaughter; and two great grandsons. Burial will be private at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of the Ozarks, the Fayetteville Animal Shelter, or the Salvation Army.
