Arline Sloan Townsend's Obituary
Arline Sloan Townsend, 83 of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008 in Fayetteville. She was born January 19, 1925 in Austin, Arkansas, the daughter of Charles C. and Ova Howell McCollum. She was a retired medical office manager and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Austin, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, R. L. Sloan and H. I. Townsend, one sister; Bonita Durnal and one brother; Aubrey McCollum.
She is survived by daughter, Bettye Sloan of Fayetteville, Arkansas, two sons, Charles W. Sloan and wife Cindy of Fayetteville and Robert L. Sloan and wife Georgia of Houston, Texas, one sister, Theressa Tackett and husband Sonny of Austin, Arkansas, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday, June 9, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Austin, Arkansas.
